Shepherd Wellness Community
SWC Community Center
The
Shepherd Wellness Community Center is key to delivery of programs and
services. Located in the former Bloomfield Community Church, 4800 Sciota
Street., Pittsburgh, it serves as a safe haven and second home for many
HIV+ members. Here those living with HIV/AIDS can share meals and participate
in social, educational, and supportive activities. The Community Center
provides a range of services and houses the SWC administrative offices.

The Shepherd Wellness Community Center can be reached
by taking either the 86A East Hills or 54C North
Side - Oakland - Mt. Oliver bus. The buses stop at the corners of
S. Matilda Street and Liberty Avenue (see
on
the map below).
1st and 3rd Friday Dinners are held at the First
United Methodist Church in Shadyside. It can be reached by taking the 71A Negley
bus which stops at the corners of Centre and S. Aiken Avenues (see
on
the map below).
