Transportation Assistance
Bus Tickets
SWC provides bus tickets to help our members who use the bus for travel to and from our programs and outings. Members who travel to our programs by bus can sign a Bus Ticket Log at any dinner or outing. They will receive two Zone 1 tickets to cover the round trip to and from our program. Immediate family members living in the same household who attend our programs with a member may also receive two bus tickets.
Mileage Reimbursement
SWC provides mileage reimbursement to help our members who drive to and from our programs and outings.
Here is how the SWC Mileage Reimbursement program works:
- Members sign the Mileage Reimbursement Log each time they attend an SWC dinner or program
- Mileage to SWC from your home and back is determined using Mapquest
- Each month SWC will total your mileage
- Reimbursement is currently .20 per mile (based on IRS medical reimbursement and subject to change)
- Reimbursements will be made in even amounts of $5, up to $50, using a GetGo card. If your total is less than $5, we will carry the amount forward until you reach $5. If your total is an odd amount over $5, the balance will be carried over and applied to next month’s card
- Monthly reimbursement cards are available at SWC dinners or programs after the 7th of the month
The goal of transportation assistance is to help our members attend our dinners, programs and outings on a regular basis. Available for our HIV Positive members who have certified for Ryan White eligibility.
